DSA provided a full project management and MEP consultancy service on the refurbishment of The Glade Centre, a Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) in Bransford. The facility was upgraded to meet the strict compliance standards set by UKAS Accreditation (ISO 15189) and the Forensic Science Regulator’s Code of Practice, ensuring a safe, trauma-informed environment for patients and staff.

Project Highlights

Creation of two independent forensic examination pods, each with secure access, clinical rooms, and ensuite facilities
Delivered to support UKAS Accreditation (ISO 15189) and the Forensic Science Regulator’s Code of Practice
Design and installation of bespoke MEP systems, including mechanical ventilation and HVAC zone separation
Use of flush, anti-ligature, and non-porous finishes to minimise contamination and support forensic cleaning
Structural enhancements and provision of an external plant area to accommodate air handling equipment
